Wood Match Annoyance
I use matches fairly often. Some cheap off-brand, some of those new diamond greenies. I don't love them but I have not had the problem complained about here. Reliable Soft Flame Pipe Lighters
Just let the lighter burn off for a few seconds before lighting the pipe. You'll taste it while lighting but it goes away quickly. I know Nat Sherman was selling their pipe tobacco under the Metropolitan brand for a while. Not sure why, I think it had something to do with some state or federal regulations. Are Aromatics Just Not Very Good?
I've had good luck with Peter Stokkebye aromatics. Actually, I think I've only tried French vanilla, but it is pleasant. A bit subtle and smokes kind of like a Virginia blend. What is Your Favorite House Blend at a B&M?
Maybe this deserves its own thread, but do you have any recommendations for a 536 substitute? It's been a staple of mine for a few years, one of my best behaved and most enjoyable smokes. I'm more torn up about losing it than I was when Dunhill gave up tobacco.- Strauss
