    Getting into Cigars

These Punch cigarillos have been doing the trick for a quick smoke. The R&J minis are good but I think these are a little stronger and I like having the option of the larger size. Just another option to consider. The price isn’t bad either.

Did Half & Half Change, Too?

My dad smoked Half & Half during the ‘70’s when I was a kid. I would open the foil pouch and smell it on occasion. I loved the pouch note. For nostalgia sake I bought a pouch a few years ago. I opened the plastic pouch expecting to be taken back in time, but nothing. It didn’t seem as I...

    Major Mess-up

But, think of all the starving pipe smokers around the world that don’t have so much as a cob or a bag of Buoy Gold. (Channeling my mother at the dinner table when I didn’t finish my plate as a kid 😆)

    What's for Breakfast?

The last of the Thanksgiving ham with scrambled eggs. Along with a big cup of English breakfast tea.

    What are You Reading Now?

I’m going to start with this one. Order placed. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Who's Still Enjoying Churchwardens?

I only have one. I put a VT Freehand demi-churchwarden Forever stem on a MM General. I enjoy it when I have time for a long smoke. I’m not a LOTR fanatic, but my wife did give me nice collectors editions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings many years ago.

    What are you waiting for?!

And, I am dreaming of retirement. It’s still just a dream, but heading in the right direction. 😉

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

That takes me back. I learned to drive in a ‘74 C10 short bed. Three on the tree, armstrong steering, no power brakes etc. I smoked Two Timer in a cob yesterday.

    Need a Good Shag Suggestion

You are a brave man to mention Buoy Gold around here ha, ha. You run the risk of being called a slack jawed, mouth breathing, knuckle dragger, or worse. I ordered some recently and just had my first bowl this morning. It wasn’t bad and should improve with age. I’ll put some in jars and the...

    Peterson Dracula

Nice looking pipe. Sounds like you got a great deal. Remember @OzPiper schooled us on Steatopygia when you bought your meer ha, ha. I bet he will know what shape it is.

    I Remember When..........

That brings back fond memories. I did the same at my buddies grandparents small dairy farm. This was late ‘70’s and early ‘80’s. Last I knew the farm was still in the family. I don’t think they had milk cows anymore but they had oxen they were using for logging.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Thanks Jazz. The accent ring is turquoise colored acrylic and gives it a Southwestern flare. Don’s Del Rio series pipes usually come with a white stem and turquoise ring, but I asked Don to make me one with a black stem.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2025?***

Smoking OJKB in a Don Warren Del Rio poker. I’ve had the pipe for a while but seasonal allergies prevented me from smoking it until recently. The allergies hit me harder than usual this fall and everything I smoked tasted bad. Feeling much better now. I was going to buy a Savinelli until I found...
