    I haven't seen one before but it appears to be MB 149 size. Is the whole pen resin or does it have a metal liner like many of the Chinese pens?

    As has been said, the carburetor seems to have little to no effect on the way the pipe smokes. The metal carburetor part gets very hot. You would probably not put your finger on it intentionally more that once when smoking.

    The stinger, the metal bit at the end of the threads, looks like it is a friction fit in your pipe. So, it should just pull out, leaving the threads.

    I seem to remember wood workers being warned to take extra precautions when working with ebony because it is toxic. I believe the warnings were specifically about ebony saw dust, so it may not apply.
