    How to Keep Pipe Rim from Darkening?

    Despite my best efforts to protect the rim on my pipes it darkens. I am careful when I light my pipe and often use a soft flame lighter. I see so many others with well used pipes and they have a pristine rim. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hal o'the Wynd casing

    Brown Clunee is an everyday smoke for me. Not overwhelming but a flavorful solid smoke. Some sweet and sour but balanced exceptionally well. Could also be a base for some blending. Think some Dark Birds Eye would amp the strength up a few notched but really good on its own merits.

    Seeing some posts related to mold in some current C&D blends. Anyone experiencing an issue with their tobaccos? Looks like my Steamhouse may be infected with mold. Seems too young to be crystals.
