Supporting a B&M
I'm lucky to have 2 B&M's in town that have some bulk tobacco selection, and pipes. One place caters mostly to cigar smokers, and the pipe selection is all pretty high end and very pricey, but the other one has a huge range of pipes, bulk tobacco, some tins, as well as any and every other smoke...- piperat

How Many Bowls per Day?
I seem to average 4-6 on weekdays, and like 7-10 on weekends. Nice to see I'm not in an over consumption category. lol- piperat

Rochester/Canandaigua NY clubs?
Yeah, I've been there a few times. I live like 5 minutes away from it. Nice people, but the general clientele seems all cigar orientated. They have some nice pipes for not so nice prices, and the tobacco selection isn't much either. Could still be a decent place to try and start with. Never...- piperat

Rochester/Canandaigua NY clubs?
We may just have to take the initiative ourselves and just work on setting something up. The hardest part, due to the NY laws, is finding a suitable location. Possibly one of the various Starbucks that have outdoor seating areas? Anyone else have any ideas on possible locations to use?- piperat

History of Latakia Blends
Looking at the quotes that were tracked down, Egypt and therefore at least parts of Africa had latakia as a primary tobacco in 1833, well before the Boer War, so there isn't any reason to think both the Crimean and the Boer war had influence on what the soldiers were exposed to and bringing back...- piperat
