***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

First smoke in my new Bruno Nuttens Bulldog. Decided on LJ Peretti Ebony. I was worried that the break in would taste too much like raw wood, but no issues. Another good smoker. Lightweight and good draw. Anyone else have opinions about their Nuttens?

    My First Rhodesian (Tastes Change)

Good looking Ashton. I love the Rhodesian and Bulldog shapes much more than my Billiards. To each their own.

    Choosing a Pipe

Try a Morgans Pipe (aka: Bones). They run about $65 and smoke nicely. Not fancy, but inexpensive and nice "starter" pipes. IMO

Luxury Bullseye Flake Prepped Perfectly in Less Than 30 Seconds (Pictoral)

I love the smell so much, I just like breaking it up with my fingers, but I have to smoke it small and slow.

    In Praise of Bones

I am a fan. I have three currently and will probably get a few more when shapes become available. I have: Oom Paul Short Churchwarden Bent Dublin

    L.J. Peretti 150th Flake

Has anyone tried LJP Boylston? It is their Amaretto Cavendish. I am getting ready to place an order for my other LJP favorites (to many to list) and have never seen anyone mention Boylston. I have tried their Coffee, but not as lush as I was hoping. My usual favorites, outside most all of their...

The Good, the Favorite and the Everyday

I like the history of old pipes and some I clean up to revive them and some I leave as is because I just appreciate the years they have on them. Newer pipes are nice, but they don't seem to have the same character as my estate pipes. I have too many to really smoke each equally and I find myself...

    Scarcity of Certain Pipe Tobaccos

Wilke 10 VS Peretti Tashkent VS Peretti Royal VS Sasieni OR White Knight

Peretti Tashkent has grown on me over the past 6 months. Worth a try. See if you like. Peretti Royal I have in my ratings as smokey and enjoyable, but I lean more towards Crown.

    Jimmy Craig-era Ashton’s (Are Awesome)

I have three, a Pebble Grain X Bulldog, a Pebbe Grain X Belge and a Brindle XXX Chimney. All great smokers, but I love the Bulldog best because it is very light and I dedicate it to flake tobacco.
