How Many Bowls Do You Smoke?

Man, SAME. I smoke maybe 1-2 pipes a week. I smoke to enjoy the nuanced flavors and spend a contemplative hour alone. For nicotine - it’s Grizzly Wintergreen, baby. Not proud of it, but it is what it is. I started dipping when my job had me driving 1,000+ miles a week. It has absolutely become...

Amazing What A Sale Will Do

I seem to remember when I first started smoking pipes 2 years ago, SP never had Drucquer in stock. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see it constantly stocked these days. Sale notwithstanding, hopefully it stays that way!

Am I Late to the Party?

Artisan’s Blend is my current favorite. If you dig that, you’d probably also enjoy Peterson’s (formerly Dunhill) Nightcap.

Am I Late to the Party?

My two cents is worth significantly less than most people’s on here, but I’ll spend it anyway. I’ve only been into pipes for about 2 years. I started cellaring 15 months ago. I started out chasing all of the hard to get “unobtanium” blends. Some are fantastic, some are decent, some I don’t care...

    How Deep is Your Cellar?

I finally did a breakdown of my cellar on (not including open tins, of which I have a shit load). I calculated roughly how long it might last me at 2 grams per bowl, smoking one bowl per day, every day. The result was roughly 17.7 years. In reality, I maybe smoke 2-3 times a...

    Best Cherry Blends

HU Jerry Saronno is supposed to be f'in delicious. It's topped with Amaretto and Cherry, I do believe. Can't personally speak to the flavor, though... I have 5 tins in the cellar but I can't bring myself to crack one yet.

    Peterson Irish Flake Recommended

Irish Flake is one of the blends I smoke the most of. It isn't complex, but it doesn't need to be. I don't particularly care for Burley, but Irish Flake is damn delicious. It is definitely on the more dark and fermented end of the spectrum, as opposed to nutty. I'm of the opinion that you can...

    The (Un)Official Secret Santa 2020!

Ho Ho Ho, here we go! Can’t wait to offload 2 pouches of Captain Black Grape on one of you poor souls.

Sutliff Crumble Kake Barrel Aged No. 1

All of these impromptu first impressions seem like a solid 5-6/10 or above. Sounds like a winner to me 👌

Sutliff Crumble Kake Barrel Aged No. 1

I n I never smoke aro’s, but the Boswells blends have always intrigued me. Might have to try a couple of those.

    Old Dark Fired=Old Reliable

Man, I saw those 5 packs and they were CHEAP. Like you said, basically standard retail for aged tins. I’ve kicked myself a few times for not buying those. Glad to hear it ages wonderfully, though! This thread has made me realize I need to stock up way more on all of the HH blends that I smoke.

    No Secret Santa This Year?

I did secret Santa for the first time last year and it was great. I’m down to clown 👍

Sutliff Crumble Kake Barrel Aged No. 1

The natural apple flavor moderately sublimating the tobaccos (paraphrasing Jim) sounds most appetizing.
