Thank you for the prompt reply! It is the make of my very first pipe. 21st birthday purchase, 1981 from the old Tim West retail shop in the Ohio Center. Still in use today (literally). Apologies for intruding on what is a GBD thread.- joburgb

Hello Bob the bear. RE: your SA origins. Back in the 90s in South Africa, I remember a few tobaccos: Assegai (but not the current Cloudy version) had a lot of kick, came in a large brown/black tin with a plastic lid, like a coffee can.
