I would guess the 2 is the same "2nd" that is on my pipe (see post after yours, tho I didnt post a photo of the "2nd" mark. I don't know if this is a marking for 2nd quality, 2nd version, or what... perhaps someone more in the know can help us both.- JeremyL

Possibly at some point, but it's one of my fav's so I'll probably hang on to it for a while. I keep a spreadsheet of all my pipes and I'll put your name by it. It's stamped "Mandarin" 8537 and is already in great shape.
