    Silver Maintenance

I use Flitz paste polish. A tube lasts a long, long time and is very useful for a lot of things around the house. For light tarnish I'll use an impregnated polishing cloth. I also have the majority of my can of Nevr-Dull I was issued at MCRD San Diego in 1994. I prefer the Flitz but the...

    New To Me Dunhill LB

Here's a new to me Dunhill Shell LB.....it was originally new in 1932. I found it on eBay late one evening with a pretty reasonable Buy It Now price listed. Once I saw the patent numbers I hit the option to buy it and completed the transaction and went to bed. I half expected to wake up in...

    Cleaned Up Some Brit Wood

I've got a tub of British pipes waiting on some workbench time. I grabbed these the other day and spent some quality time with them. The photo isn't the greatest, I need to work on that. From the top: 1986 Ashton Pebblegrain. Some great, tight ring grain on this one. 1984 Dunhill 4201...

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

That does seem low, Al. But it's a damn small pipe. I have one that I never smoke, it's just too petite for my tastes.

    1954 Tanshell Dunhill Shape 475

A very utilitarian shape that has a certain attractiveness to it. Your stem is top notch, as always.

    Mystery Dunhill Cavalier/Nomenclature

I've been colleting Dunhills for about 15 years but have never seen that shape. Maybe George D will have some insight.

Thanks for the kind words about the tall shell bulldog. I was very chuffed to pick it up when I found it. The rounded bottom cherrywood is a unique piece. I have only seen a couple others like it. They both smoke well to boot.

    Mystery Dunhill Cavalier/Nomenclature

It could be that one of Dunhill's ceramic absorbent discs was meant to be placed at the hole leading to the plug reservoir. (Not my image, purloined from the internet.)

I have a thing for the diplomat shape, and some of its variations.

Some of my patent era Shell finish pieces, again in a prewar Dunhill rack. A couple more in this image, with the ones from above. One is a "black dot" from having its hole drilled down into the airway of the stem and the dot acting like a straw for tars over the decades. The prince next...

Here are a few more of my Dunhills. I think I may have a thing for this particular marque. These are some of my patent era Root and Bruyere finish Dunhills. The rack is also from the prewar era. My photography skills are lacking, in comparison to several folks on here.

Some beautiful Dunhills posted here, folks. Here's some of mine in a rack I have in my study.

    Show Us Your Loewe Pipes

Here's a chubby little billiard from 1922. It seems to like Escudo pretty well.
