Glue? Epoxy? Which to use for this?
That's my go-to glue too! I keep both the liquid and gel options next to me - the gel sets up much slower but doesn't run and is great for so many applications. Holds a bunch of my husband's pipes together at this point with no problems with heavy use when not in the bowl itself!- J Clifton

Seeking advice on restoring rim color and silver shank (photos)
For silver pipe fittings, especially if they may only be plated and therefore need a more gentle approach to avoid removing the silver layer, I definitely consider it worth dropping the $5-6 for a silver cream/polish if you can find it. Thank you, and yes! I'm paranoid so I try to be very careful about where I use the glue and making sure it's well away from the parts of the bowl exposed to the most heat, only using it when sandwiched between two layers of material rather than exposed directly to the heat, and wipe the interior...- J Clifton

Thank you! I used to work in theatrical costuming many years ago and had to learn lots of options for spot-cleaning old fabric! Test first with a small amount in one spot (different dyes are lifted by different chemicals), but most fabric should be able to take it if you are gentle. Dampen the...- J Clifton
