I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

I also see sarcasm relating to banning EVERYTHING in the UK to make it a utopia, and knife crime stats posted to convey a fearful sense of doom. No the UK isn't a utopia and clearly won't be in the future. This aside, knife crime may be something to think about but nobody here lives in enough...

I'm Bloody Livid: Amazon Refuse to Sell Me a Set of Kitchen Knives.

I feel for the OP's predicament. As mentioned, it seems to stem from his lack of credit history allowing Experia to verify his age when purchasing an age restricted item. It's another example of a dilemma faced by a poster though, to allow some to ponder in agreement about the downfall of...

Watch Out or Watch on? Pt 2.

That Tudor looks awesome. I prefer the indices amd hand set. I have never been a big fan kf the Mercedes handset on a sub. I also feel the sub hands look a bit undersized. Would be interesting to see what a ceramic bezel insert would look like.

Absolute Mildest Nicotine With Latakia and/or Orientals

Sorry, I didnt check your profile to see where you were from. Hello Canada from Scotland. I normally buy Sam Gawith or Gawith Hoggarth as they can be easily purchased loose here in the UK. I only smoke 1 bowl a week and am reluctant to buy whole tins, as I want some variety. I initially liked...

What Are You Drinking? April 2024

Just poured an independent bottling of Teaninich bt North Star Spirits. 11 yo spirit driven bourbon cask matured. This is right in my wheelhouse. Sweet/sour and very citrus tart. Sherry bombs ar not my thing.

Have you tried Kilkerran Heavily Peated? It's glorious. Like a smoky salted caramel Banoffee pie.

Absolute Mildest Nicotine With Latakia and/or Orientals

I came to pipe smoking as a non smoker who initially tried my hand at a cigar once a week. I gave that up as I couldn't take the nicotine hit. As a pipe smoker I enjoy latakia/oriental English blends or cavendish heavy aromatics. These have never given me a nicotine hit. They are big on flavour...

    B & M

I hadn't been in b&m for a while thinking they just sold towels and mop heads. They are better stocked than I thought. Can't beat the fabled 'Lidl's Middle Aisle' though. Nothing beats going in for a pint of milk and a loaf of bread, and walking out with a table saw, fireman's axe and a bonsai...

    Solar Eclipse. Have Fun.

Been watching the live feed on and off from Nasa. Looked impressive at Indianapolis Speedway.

    Solar Eclipse. Have Fun.

Good luck with the weather, to anyone planning to see the solar eclipse tomorrow. Sadly not visible here in Scotland, but I imagine there are plenty here, who are within fairly easy range of good viewing. Enjoy.

Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapses.

Nevermind. Can we mention the inadequate protection measures? https://www.npr.org/2024/04/04/1242605876/baltimore-bridge-collapse-dolphins

What Are You Drinking? April 2024

Considered a budget blend, but at 50%abv and unchillfiltered this peppery dram is great value amongst enthusiasts here in Scotland.

What Are You Drinking? April 2024

A lovely oily, smoky blended malt from the wizards at Springbank.

Watch Out or Watch on? Pt 2.

I agree. Rolex is too caught up in luxury for my liking. Don't get me wrong, Tudor isn't cheap but to me they are almost obtainable. I like the utilitarian nature of them. Only Rolexes I have been tempted by are vintage versions of the bottom rung Oyster Perpetual. Such as this piece of class...
