Causes of Raw/irritated/tender Throat from Smoking.
I was wondering if it had to do with the liner of the pipe like the precharred bowls or something like that. I also notice draws on bent pipes I have are more restricted than straight pipes so straight pipes might have more of a "hot burn" because it its easier to draw.- fishmansf

Meerschaum Coloring End Game
O that’s interesting. I’ve read that thread so many times but never caught that. Always thought it was just the byproducts moving their way through the meerschaum and getting trapped in the wax like a protective seal- fishmansf

For sure but I am sure it would color differently. I remember your pipe experiment where you cut it in half and the inside was all white (slight gray) until it hit the wax on the outside.- fishmansf

From my understanding, there is a point when a pipe will not color anymore. Why is this? Not idea. Title edited. Rule 9. I’ve been pipe smoking for about six years. I still haven’t been able to train myself to smoke slow and cool and regularly give myself tongue bite. Most the time I don’t even realize I’m smoking hot. Any tips on how to train yourself to smoke cooler?- fishmansf
