OK, thanks everyone. So the verdict is this isn't mold. But see I'm confused on this because I don't think all mold smells. I had once a humidor and cigars which developed mold. I used this kind of tool to remove excess cake. I don't see how this could possibly damage the pipe. On narrow pipes where it didn't fit in I just used Czech tool to scrape it of.- elnoblecigarro
