I also just opened up a tin of CC 2006 a few days ago. My first attempt was underwhelming as well. To be fair, it was a well sealed tin so the first bowl was a bit wet, but I couldn't wait. Reiner gold and Orlik golden pipe tobaccos similar flavor and taste counterparts
Agree with @Sigmund that Luxury Navy Flake has a good deal in common with Reiner LGF in terms of flavor. Not the same for sure, but large Venn Diagram overlap. Peterson Royal Yacht vs Dunhill?
No difference between the Dunhill (produced by STG) and the Peterson (produced by STG). Well, probably slight variations from year to year because tobacco is an agricultural product. A slight majority of people would probably agree that meerschaum (as long as it's of good quality) is pretty neutral, so it won't add or subtract much from any type of blend.
