How Many Bowls do You Smoke a Day?
> 4 pipes a day, depending on how busy I am, but 4 is the baseline. Can be 10. I mainly smoke on the balcony at home as the Memsahib keeps the house out of bounds, but after 40 years with my pipes I still smoke them in public like in the past. Apropos of nothing, I once lost a fully-loaded pipe down the loo. I prepped it and put it on top of the flat-top cistern while I went into battle. High Nicotine Pipe Tobacco Recommendations
DefinItely GH twists/rope. Revor, Royal Yuck and Bayou Morning are in my daily rotations so not too bad. The only blend I‘ve smoked and run from is GL JackKnife plug. Turned me around and threw me down.- andystewart

Biggest cob bowl?
Thanks for sharing that, Lee. Fascinating. Here in England our.farms are nothing like as big as those in the US and there are a lot of animal farms, rather than arable. That Morning Smoke
I love my first pipe of the day, working or not. Usually Bayou Night or Solani 633 in a cob. Milky coffee espresso and fizzy water for a gentle kick and hydration, respectively, but there has to be some perique to fire up the brain!- andystewart

Yep - the briar of the bowl and the type of guard used will determine the nature of the scratches on the rim and their depth in the chamber. Guard arms tend to be relatively blunt and only go max 1cm into the bowl, so should be able to distinguish cuts created by a guard from those left by a...- andystewart

Great find! The military mount is appropriate for an era when many British men were still in uniform, being reposted overseas or being waiting to be demobbed from the services.
