No, it is not like that pipe. It has a huge fat stem and takes a 9mm filter. However, I take the point that the drilling may have been intentional. Ash Holes Put my Pipe Out!
I didn't even know "getting the ash out" was a thing in pipe-smoking. I've never done it. The thing about tobacco ash is that it crushes down to an extremely small volume. Even an entire cigar barely makes a teaspoon of ash if you crush it all down (I discovered this recently making pipe mud)...- Anchovies

Well, if it was intentional then I don't like it very much. It just wastes tobacco by collecting it in a damp plug at the bottom of the bowl. I looked up pipe mud. Guess I have to go and buy a cigar. Haha.- Anchovies

I know if my own experience that last 1/4 to 1/5 of the bowl is just not as good as the first part.
