To much happening for all of us right now, methinks, so I'm just going to highlight one smoke from yesterday, and post my new arrival . . . and that's it. Will try to catch up on my comments and posting as soon as I can. 'Tis a function of the Season!

I had one smoke of interest late yesterday:

A friend presented me with a package of tobacco new to me, Borkum Riff Original. I smoked it in my aro/codger test pipe, a McQueen Miniature Barrel Rider.

Absolutely sensational! A couple of subsequent bowls in a couple of larger pipes that are biased for this type of fodder confirmed the findings. Don't know how to explain my attraction to this breed of tobacco over the last six months or so, but with the meds and stuff, probably that. I really enjoy just a basic tobacco now, and BRO will be a staple in my larder from now on. Available locally and at the Reserve Store, so i'll be having this on hand and ready to go permanently.

New Arrival today, the Meer Bowl for my new Falcon Shileleigh frame, which I showed you the other day, Yah, I know I mis-spelled it but I ain't gonna look it up to correct it, and y'all know what I mean.

Now, I also realize that I will no longer be able to make fun of pimping pipes, cuz a few more are coming, and I'm joining the ranks of the tasteless!!

And, eating crow ain't all that bad! :ROFLMAO: According to outdoor survival expert and author Bradford Angier, small crows are quite palatable.

I still haven't quite arrived at the point where I like panelled pipes though, but in my final order madness I'm going to get one so I think I'm allowed to be a hypocrite and change my mind.

Lots of stuff to do tonight and Advent is getting busy, so I'll be appearing tomorrow morning and try to catch up on posting comments!

Have a good Saturday, folks!!

Near the first quarter of this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar family era Barling’s Make Billiard 6 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The stampings suggest 1930s, but the “6” is a previously unknown stamp number as is its placement. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching an episode of Unearthed about the effects of Mount Vesuvius. Daisy the Feral Princess came in to eat her wet food, and is lying by my feet. Harry the Hairy was on top of the cat tree and wanted to stay out. Dunno where Tomato the Brave is.

Oh no, what will you do to get past the taste? Treat it somehow?
I went ahead and stuffed it with cotton balls and drenched it with vodka as I'm out of isopropyl alcohol. This is the de-ghosting method used over at Reborn Pipes. If that doesn't get out the smell I'll stuff it with wet coffee grounds and let it sit for a few days.

If all else fails, I'll dedicate heavier blends to it and hope it'll go away, haha.

Enjoyed some low calorie snacking, and am near the last third of this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2022 in a black rusticated full bend 1984 Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Watching Car 54 Where Are You?

Enjoyed a small, but tasty Snap Dragon apple, and with any luck, my last smoke of the day will be year 2012 Carter Hall in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 437/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Brought all the ferals in to eat and am watching them more for good than trouble. Tomato the Brave is playing with a catnip sock and kicking the cat carousel while Harry the Hairy and Daisy the Feral Princess watchfully deny that they've ever seen him before.

The greenhouse is always a good wind break smoking area. If there is any sunshine, then I can enjoy warmer temperatures as well.
And the smoke repels overwintering pests from whatever plants might still be growing, or stored in there. I really ought to go and consume some G&H Black Irish XXX, lined up for my next smoke, in the greenhouse, and fumigate my broad beans... :)

Aladino Classic. Wife got me a new coffee maker, and man does it make a difference. Same coffee, whole different taste. So I said oh man, I gotta have a cigar with this cup. It's excellent. Sittin outback trying not to holler at my boys too much, they seem to keep finding trouble today.
Nice stick. Ah, the life of a dad lol. Enjoy those moments as time is fleeting.

My off diet lunch was plenty of pecans and pistachios, a pastrami cheddar cheese pita bread sandwich, a tall stack on a plate of stuffed with rice, meat and lamb grape leaves rolls with a couple of oatmeal raisin cookies and a golden delicious apple. I've a third of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star 50th, neat, is my drink. Molly Danger came to the den for food and play time. Sleepy Suzy got some of that as well. I've been watching old TV Westerns, and have seen one of the best, most ubiquitous character actors, Denver Pyle, in three of the four shows I have seen on two different channels. Durn good actor.

Nice. I'm curious; what is Gold Star 50th?
