Seven-year-old Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture in a new Stanwell H.C. Andersen light brown polished churchwarden, and Cameron's Creme Brulee coffee, while working on band recordings from last night's rehearsal.

Just breaking this pipe in. The stem is more deeply bent than my other model (black sandblast) and it makes for somewhat weird positioning, but I think it's lovely. I do enjoy this tobacco. Unlike yesterday's Borkum Riff, this will remain on the spreadsheet. :) Maybe I'll hunt up a replacement stem for this pipe so that it feels more natural....

Hey @RavenBlack
Beautiful pipe! I've been eyeing the H C Andersen Churchwarden for a while now.

Regarding the stem: I'm NOT directly suggesting you do this, but I recently had good success with adjusting the bend on one of my acrylic stems. (I don't know if your stem is acrylic.) I utilized a heat gun, but I'd suggest reading up on what to "watch out for" before attempting. In my case, it was easy to do. You can see the result of my effort here.

Perhaps someone with a LOT more experience can chime in. But, to me, reducing the bend seems likely easily done at home. Alternatively, you could probably send it to someone experienced in bending stems (not me), and it may be cheaper than sourcing a replacement. You could send that person both stems, and have the new one bent to match the old one. Good luck!! 😻

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star 50th, neat, is my drink. I dressed up to go walking and as soon as I opened the door, it started raining hard. Tomato the Brave came running in as fast as he could. In the back yard near the fence and under the bushes was Harry the Hairy. He heard me call and darted to the door to come inside. Now I know one of his hiding places. Daisy the Feral Princess stayed in the cat house. I'm watching an interview with Ralph Bellamy. He told some interesting stories about his early acting career.

Esoterica Penzance in a Celebi Meer. Getting a short smoke in before my house fills up with family. We’re going to see the gingerbread house competition at Grove Park Inn, something of a tradition. Everyone knows I’m kind of cheap about food so if you’re over 12 years old I’m not paying $15 for your hot chocolate. You want a real drink? Bring a flask or your own money haha.
