Sampling Rattray's Dark Fragrant, in the Ropp mule. Meh. One of the dullest smokes I've ever had. Too much inert black Cavendish and too little bright Virginia with perhaps a hint of dark fired Kentucky - I think. Haven't read any reviews. So uninspiring I had to follow it with some Irish Cask.Smoke161225.jpgAnd here are the Brecon geese (not the bacon grease) who arrived on the Farm last week. The gander has appointed himself Head Of Security. We chose Brecons because they are one of the least aggressive breeds, and thus less likely to harass visitors - but that's not saying much.Brecon Geese ASHF.jpg

If a pipe could be a person, this Rinaldo would be an Italian aristocrat. Bella.
Thank you, Steddy for the compliment on the Rinaldo. I like the stem shape and red stain. I don't hear much about the brand but that pipe smokes beautifully and is not heavy. I probably bought it at a NASPC show.

Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' by my feet. The other two are outside after coming in to snack.
