That's very cool. I'd like to see those stone vats they are so famous for. Their beers are stellar. I haven't had one I didn't like. The Nut Brown Ale being my #1.

Just found and plugged a hole in a tire on the commuter car. Since I snapped the pic it’s become rainy with very cool strobe lightning.

Just finished smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.

Opened a tin of RMC Oxford Street — the aroma is stunning, a clean prune/black plum note right out of the gate. And here’s the surprising part: the composition is identical to Boutique Blend, but the result couldn’t be more different. Oxford Street gives you a beautiful sweet Virginia up front. The Orientals are present, but lightly, they don’t interfere or add sharpness. Latakia is there in a microscopic dose, and honestly — that’s exactly the right amount for this profile.
The outcome? Two blends with the same ingredients, but completely different personalities. And Boutique Blend, for me, is simply un-smokable compared to this one. Oxford Street is a gorgeous everyday mixture — balanced, sweet, easy, and genuinely enjoyable.

Passing the last quarter of this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Cleaned the pipes I smoked today while m'lady fed all of the ferals.
Sam's Flake Burnt Ends in an IMP meerschaum. First time with Burnt Ends. Did not realize how thick the flakes were cut! Took ten minutes to wrestle out a bowl.
Cracked a tin of Samuel Gawith Saint James flake from Nov 2022 and smoking it in a Sasieni Four Dot Amesbury
Wow, that’s an impressive Dunhill stash! It’s always a pleasure to see someone who managed to hold onto those classics. Not many people can open their cellar and pull out blends of that caliber anymore. Enjoy them — treasures like that
deserve to be smoked, not just stored.
