Hmmmmm . . . . the new perspective on this shot eliminates the "cute monster" effect and makes it look more "normal", whatever that means. Noticed a few others bought this pipe recently. Whatever the case may be, it sure gets noticed! 🤓

Here’s a better shot. Not my photo but better nonetheless

Morning Smoke, Sorta back to normal, with a new twist and a new tobacco.

A new twist on my old routine, inspired by @bobpmn: Coffee (sort of, cold with a touch of cinnamon), Burley (sort of) and Cob (actually two).

Skippable Whine:
Sorry about the lousy picture but I'm still struggling with this new GIMP distro which does everything worse than the old distro. I wonder why these distro designers can't leave anything alone without screwing it up with automatic and enforced updates? I have a computer guy coming in to "fix up" and put a block on my distro. I'm fairly computer savvy, but not command line stuff. Like, I still use flyreels from the 1960s cause the new ones are junk compared with the old Hardy Flyweights and Marquis . . . . end of whine.

Shown above in the "pic" are my two lat-biased MM cobs, the mini and the new standard, a gift from a friend. Love it. I smoked both this morning, with my new Home Mix, "Gord's Cherry English." I think it's a winner, a nice blast of lat, lots of burley, and an undertone of cherry that satisfies my morning tobacco sweet tooth.

And as is my wont, I'm currently chomping on what the cognoscenti would call a Phillies Blunt Travesty, this one a grape. Enjoying it so much I might have another.

For those interested, the new "Cherry English" consists of 3 parts C&D Latakia, 7 parts Sir Walter Raleigh (thus fulfilling the burley criteria), and 7 parts Smokers' Pride Cherry Cavendish. I'll cut back the Lat to 2 parts, I think, but it probably won't make much difference. It's cheap to make with standard and readily available tobaccos.

I like it a lot, but the acid test will be the madding hoard that's coming over tonight with their lat pipes to indulge and criticize. I'm sure there are other Cherry Englishes out there, but I've never seen one before. But what do I know?

Back to business preparing the other Dan Tobacco Jubilee posts for tonight. Yup, gonna have another blunt grape now, lol. See y'all later.

I'll bet that you use those old meers for a lot of your reviews, Jim. That one has seen many a load of tobacco!

Speak, those fence posts have got to be the best platform for pipe photos that exists. Every time I seen one of your pictures, I start singing that old Eagles song, "Desperado" to myself. ha.

Do you live on a farm passed down through your family or did you buy it?

My wife and I spent another 4 hours wrangling leaves. Went and emptied the dump trailer.
A welcomed break on the front porch. Supposed to start raining soon. Smoking A sample of The Haunting Cake from @PrivatePiping in the Armellini Fatte A Mano Sumerler freehand. Some strong Pu’erh tea accompanying.
Some very nice baccy indeed!
