That's really great. We only used feathered shuttlecocks, but we were pretty serious LOL. Of course, indoor is quite different from outdoor -- even the slightest TX breeze wreaks havoc. But way to go. If you get a chance to play an actual indoor court sometime, it's quite rigorous. There are groups that play indoor up in Irving area (lots of folks there from India).Woah! That is too cool man, I bet you could whoop us good. We just started a little while ago, though I played with my dad, who was also way into racquetball, when I was a little kid. My wife and her friend will play for hours sometimes when the weather is nice, and it’s always fun to sneak in some lunchtime birdie bashin’! Me and my wife have never played indoors actually, only outside and with extremely intro-tier equipment - though we have just acquired some shuttlecocks that are actually fletched instead of plastic.
Next year, I’m planning another trip to China — probably in March. This time, I’ll pick up a couple of cartons of those cigarettes I mentioned earlier. Interestingly, the tobacco is grown in the same Yunnan region where tea for Pu-erh is cultivated. It truly has that forgotten, high-quality flavor of cigarettes from before the 2000s, before the global anti-smoking hysteria began. Thanks @Benedict Munsinger , I was hoping you might chime in with some tips. Thank you for the well wishes. And right you were. I steeped those same leaves several times, for longer periods, and it actually kept getting darker and stronger. It became nicely dark and flavorful -- it just needed a bit more time. I learned a lot this first session. Very delicious, too!![]()

Thank you for your kind thoughts.Sorry for your loss @OzPiper. Its not easy no matter what the circumstances.
Thanks man! The wooden organizer was a $10 find at Hobby Lobby. I'll post a wider angle of the bench once I manage to clear off the clutter from the rest of it. 🫣First time I’ve had a good look at your smoking bench setup, very very good stuff man. I love the wooden organizer and the pipe armchair
My own father is 80 and suffering from lymphoma. He was "given" 6 months about 18 months ago. I spend every Friday evening visiting with him and count each week as a blessing.Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Dad’s mother was a Buddhist. To her every year after 80 is a bonus and a blessing.
And a life after 100 is to be celebrated rather than mourned
Today would have been Dad’s 103rd birthday.
Our family will be celebrating that with a dinner tonight
