Finally got to smoke some of the new 4th Generation Limited Edition 2025, in an IMP meerschaum bent apple. I don't want to even attempt a full review after one bowl, smoked outside in the wind. But first impressions are it's an extremely pleasant, mildly aromatic blend that initially reminds me of a more refined Mac Baren's Mixture Scottish Blend and a more subtle Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice. Toasty bread, classic nutty burley, honey, vanilla, and an ever present citrus note are what I picked up on the most. What "room note" I could pick up was very pleasant, a very classic sweet, vanilla/chocolate/marshmallow Pipe Tobacco aroma that reminded me of being around my uncles smoking their pipes when I was a kid. Nic content somewhere around medium, with a satisfying medium body, flavor and mouth feel.

This would definitely be a blend that I would reach for if I knew I was going to smoke in mixed company, seems like the kind of aroma people would enjoy even if they don't like tobacco. I suspect it will age well in a jar, thinking of grabbing another tin.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. It's time to feed the ferals.
