Recent Festivities - also known as no possibility of catchup :ROFLMAO:

Let's consider this whole post "Skippable Drivel" and go on from there.

1. Back on meds. Olfactory infection still there and thus tastebuds hobbled. Can live with this but like it to be done and over with.

2. Bladder infection gone. Happy about this.

3. It's fishing time. First trip Friday, but before then, a couple of dry land sessions at rifle range (lots of suitable open land there suitable for casting, and can introduce the new crop of victims to some shooting, too.) First show and tell with rods, reels and iron tonight with 3 ex-student enthusiasts tonight - and they have some skills in each department, so this will be a fun instructional environment, one I'm used to.

Crap on the cold. I can deal with it. Found some old and warm outdoor wear in the ratsnest upstairs, hidden in the usual boxes we all have. Gotta toughen up and stop using this septogenarian thing as an excuse.

4. Discovery in a drawer in the livingroom bookcase system: Two unused, unbroken-in pipes. Oh joy. A spare new chompin' cob and Mr. Brog #52 Kaiser I was going to give away, but changed my mind.

The Kaiser duplicates the one that I use for English tobaccos outdoors. It smokes great. I just kept this one as a spare. The Cob is one of many I've given to newbies. Not this one. Cuz both of them are going to be used for codgers - outdoors. Another chompin' cob pipe and another great smoking outdoor pipe. Even without tastebuds in full operation, I can enjoy the codger breed as much as I can enjoy anything right now. And shall do so.

The fishing is hot, and grouse and snowshoe hares are about to open. It's my time of year and that's why I moved up here 25 years ago. Not lettin' this one slip by.

I shall be erratic as all get out, but thinkin' about ya'll with every cast and shot. :col:

but today it was better for some reason.
Really funny how that happens, isn't it?!?
Whenever I read reviews of people saying "popped the tin, it was terrible, threw it in the trash"
I just sit back and laugh to myself... "oh, you poor, poor creature... you just threw out what probably would've been your holy grail blend 12.5 years from now, and you'll never even know about it..." 😂😂

That is very true. I would never throw anything out, no matter what. I've had a few blends that I didn't like at first, but for some reason a little time in a jar and they bloom.
