Now smoking year 2019 C&D Derringer in a late 1890s, early 1900s straight smooth brown unbranded billiard with an A&D silver cap and ferrule with a tapered amber stem and orific bit. Harry the Hairy came in to nibble, and I gave him a lot of attention. He had his belly in the air, and was bathing his front paws while he got his rubs and scratching. When he went out, Tomato the Brave came in. Daisy the Feral Princess is by my feet. She was not happy to see Harry get all that attention, so I had to give Daisy her share of it, too.

Just finished my first bowl of Ken Byron's B. Frog's Lasso Flek. I don't normally judge a blend after the first smoke, but this was the first of KBV's blends that I was disappointed in. What it succeeded in doing was remind me of other blends, like Irish Flake, Three Nuns and Old Gowrie, but it did so in a way that made me wish I was smoking those instead. Rough throughout, and it even had a harsh, bitter finish that made me question if my briar was burning. I'll jar it up and see if it's any better in a few months. Or years.

Smoked in a Peterson (CP) Deluxe System Barley 3s.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Daisy the Feral Princess snacked a tad, and went out.

Is it just me, or does it look like there's a face in the side of the stummel there...

Now smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a late '80s, early 90s small bend medium brown smooth, unbranded Nording pot with a couple of small rusticated spots, an amber colored acrylic ferrule and tapered stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
