Near the first third of this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady and I fed all of the ferals and our cats. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Yesterday's Smokes - The Long and Short of it. (@MattCC)

I'm first of all going to inform y'all about my posting plans until "Apple Fest" is over. Each morning I'm going to post my smokes of the previous day, then get back into action 'till it's over. Further in Skippable Drivel. But here is a shot of my smokes of yesterday (in addition to my 2 a day cigars, which I frankly realize nobody is interested cuz I smoke, and like, el-cheapo flavoured, so I ain't gonna talk about them.) Extra info for MattCC (att'n) who posted a longstem McQueen a couple of days ago, as I have about 15 of these beauties, and know them pretty well, will be sent in a PM)

Just a quick kitchen tabletop shot of the pipes. Won't show the tobaccos but just tell you what was smoked in each. Top shown, one of the most beautiful pieces of wood I own, a McQueen ashwood "Mistral", and it was stuffed with my own Basic English. Then the 2nd break-in smoke with the Peterson Rhodesian Tavern Pipe, which was fed the usual break-in Captain Black Dark Cavendish. Followed by the Mr. Brog "Shorty" nosewarmer, which is fully broken in and I enjoyed a full load of TobaccoBarn's delightful "Cimmeron", a great aro which you should try. Not seen anyone else post any of their tobaccos. This one is terrific.

All of these pipes are outstanding smokers, amongst the best that I have. I'm really looking forward to the Peterson being fully broken in, as even the blah taste of getting to that stage can't hide the wonderful smoking qualities of this gem. That's yesterday's smokes. Todays will be posted tomorrow AM.

Skippable Drivel - no, I'm not whining. I'm really into it now, and am drying and freezing the rest of the apples, and will be pickling most of the crabs after about a dozen bags of drying them. 'Nuff said.

Pictured below is the initial box of crabapples from yesterday, and then the day's haul (had help from the morning pipe crew) with the remaining apple crabs, and the first two boxes of crabapples, about 1/4 of what's on the tree. (yah - my kitchen floor is a disaster, and won't be washed for a bit, eh?) I'll shoot for two more boxes of crabs then let the rest fall to the ground for fertilizer, the mice, ants and the occasional bear (haven't had any yet) that may arrive.

Don't think any further commentary is necessary. Having lunch now and will catch up on some posting (won't be able to do it all; my apologies) while I eat.

Be back with today's smokes tomorrow morning. Cheers and have a great Monday.

Earlier, I did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. Tomato the Brave kept hiding under the neighbor's car, and every time I walked by it, he jumped out in front of me. Twice, he landed on my feet. He got a head scratch every time, and then he'd go hide under the car again. Harry the Hairy stood driveway guard and when I finished walking, he followed me inside. He ate, and is snoozin' by my feet.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star mmmMocha, neat, is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. I'm getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Just finished smoking year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave were brought in, and they ate. Now, they're looking around deciding what to do. Tomato has that "I pity the fool who tries to get that catnip sock away from me" look. Daisy looks too embarrassed to admit that Tomato is her brother.

It appears that Tomato the Brave is wired . . . . . .
