Did some low calorie snacking, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2025 STG/MacBaren Capstan Original Navy Cut in a straight smooth brown walnut 1980s James Upshall P pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in a while, and I thought I'd see how Capstan tastes in a briar since I always smoke the Mac Baren version in one. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I had a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon ZOOM meeting with my pipe buddies, as I smoked a bowl of 20+ year-old McClelland 2000 Fragrant Matured Cake in my long-stemmed meerschaum, a gift from my brother-from-another-mother, Al.
A wonderful smoke, good conversation and warm camaraderie.

Part way through this bowl of year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess. The two ferals are somewhere else.

Part way through this bowl of year 2000 SWRA in a straight, black sandblasted pre-1970 Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight apple 551 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. I'll end the day with this smoke, and finish reading baseball box scores later this day. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and then came up to me with gratitude and wanting attention. I didn't give him much because as soon as he saw that a catnip sock was close by, he ran to it. After some furious playing, he came back to me to lay on my feet. Harry the Hairy ate outside. Gave Daisy the Feral Princess some dry food outside. A couple of days ago, she decided that the recliner was more comfortable than the chair she usually sits on.

Enjoying some Maple Shadows in a new cob i picked up on a work trip to Atlanta GA. Glad i have a decent stock pile of this stuff as it’s one of my favorite blends.

Ang suggestions? I started smoking pipes last May. I think ive regressed enough to where I can enjoy aromatics now. I plan on trying to bug Sleepy Hollow this year. And I plan to try Autumn Evening. But sadly, I missed out on Maple Shadows last year, and now they’re selling for ridiculous prices because it won’t ever be an available again.
