2 main points here on this

1. Telling me it left the shop packaged well (this is impossible given there was no packaging material inside other than a couple small pieces of paper)

2. Telling me I’m the first customer to complain about this (therefore it must be me not the packaging, and bc )

Notice how Kyle never posted that message that he sent originally? He posted parts of emails to make it look good for him. Honestly, asking a paying customer to have to wait for a 3 week turnaround for your mistake is ridiculous. Any shop worth their salt would take care of it right away. And you would have received the dented tins regerdless but not force me to wait around for the 3 week turnaround for your mistake.

I've sent you a prepaid return label. Please ship the two dented tins back, and I will ship you two new ones. If you decide to not go through with the exchange process, in which you requested, then that's on you man. Again, I'm really sorry about your tins and that my packaging job wasn't to your standard. 1. The dents on those pictured tins are insignificant, won't affect the tobacco in them at all. But if you want to bitch and moan about it, that's your prerogative and Nova Pipes were already willing to accommodate you but you didn't want it.

2. Since you're being so difficult, how do we know you didn't drop the tins yourself and are now just trying to swindle some new tins?

3. What kind of resolution are you looking for?

From a neutral perspective, it reads like your ego got dented when the entire forum sided with the justified side and now you're just throwing a digital tantrum.

I don't know sometimes when it feels like the whole world is against you, you should stop and ask: Hey, am I being an asshole right now?

I’m surprised that the ridiculous beating of a dead horse by @Sappspuh which pretty much violates the vendor bashing policy of the forum hasn’t caught any moderation yet.

The whining about two little tin dents and the fact free replacements didn’t appear on his doorstep with Amazon Prime speed is ridiculous.
Over half a dozen pages of tantrum throwing is ridiculous…

Since attaining VIP Zinc Alloy status, I have enjoyed some incredible benefits, like free fire starting brown paper and free air from North Carolina (but you gotta breath it in fast when you open the box, cause it wants to go home again). So yeah, it bugged me when I saw my benefits cut. Aren't these entitlements? Is this Trump's fault?

But I was happy to see that under their new program, I'm a Spc4 in the SmokingPipes Free Shit Army. They sent me 200 pounds of potatoes to peel for them, and I'm confident if I do that correctly, and paint all the rocks on base, that in 47 months I'll be promoted to sergeant.

I asked you if you'd like to return the dented tins with the prepaid label I emailed you. Once I receive the tins I will go ahead and ship you new ones! But you declined the offer. I have not received a follow up from you regarding the exchange you requested, this is the last email that was sent.

These are the dents that started this. My God. I swear I've seen tins dented harder then that from being looked at too hard. Seesh.

Which is frankly a lot more transparent then how this thread hijack started. Way more. Some customers really want to make sure they're more work then their business is worth.

This was Kyle’s response in email and his apology was he’s sorry that it happened not I’m sorry that we sent you a box with no packaging inside

“Thank you for following up. I do want to clarify that your order was packaged properly and securely before it left our shop. Every order is packed with care, and we’ve successfully shipped thousands of tins without issue. You’re the first customer to let us know that our packaging didn’t meet their expectations, and I take that feedback seriously. That said, minor denting can sometimes occur in transit, even when packaging is secure — in fact, minor denting can occur during the vacuum sealing process from the manufacturer as I previously stated earlier. What really matters is that the tins remain properly sealed — and these tins are as you previously stated.it’s important to note that this is very common with modern pipe tobacco tins.

Our policy for situations like this remains the same: we can arrange an exchange once the original items are returned, and I've already provided you with a prepaid return label to make the process easier on your end. Once the tins arrive back here, I’ll prioritize your replacement so it goes out right away.

If you’d prefer not to go through the exchange process but are still concerned about the denting, one option would be to transfer the tobacco into jars. Many pipe smokers do this right away, as it ensures long-term freshness and peace of mind, while also allowing the tobacco to age properly.”
So now his apology wasn't correct either? If I get run over by a car, then the car backs over me, then the driver gives me a wedgie....I believe an " im sorry this happened to you" covers the hit, the reverse hit, and the wedgie.
In Kyle's apology, I'd say apologizing for "it happening" covers the dents, AND the packaging, AND any other issue, misunderstanding, and misconstruance. You know? The entire "happening"
Again, in my opinion.

I don’t see how saying “it was packaged correctly when it left here” is apologizing. Isn’t that putting the blame elsewhere?
