Placed an online order for tobacco April 27. Usually takes two or three days to arrive. Got a notification package was an hour away from me. Says I," Great news! I'll have it shortly" . Next tracking notification I get,it's no longer an hour away but 3000 miles away in San Francisco. Then ,it got shipped to Oakland. Next notification,it's been shipped back to San Francisco. Called the vendor." Welp, there's not much we can do. Let us know if it never gets delivered."
This is my second package that's gone from my town to San Francisco. Care to place any bets where it will wind up next?

Dude this happened to me a couple times where a vendor from the north east (where im also from) will ship a package out but it ends up on the west coast or florida. Happened with a watch city order once, they are like a two hour drive from me, lol. Mildly infuriating.

I'm not sure that is actually happening ... I have had a few orders indicate that it was shipped elsewhere but it still arrived within the 3-4 day window. If one person types the wrong number or if the scanner scans wrong and AI is involved ... if quite possible someone else's tracking info might get placed under your tracking number ... just a 2 cent thought ... check the package when it actually arrives and see if any labels or stampings are from those areas.

Vegas Baby!!!
Shipping always fascinates me.

I recently had a drone perform a fly away, no idea where it ended up, but it was clearly sick of my nonsense.

Okay, time to buy another drone. I ordered it from a company here in Vegas, they don’t have a store front so I couldn’t pick it up.

But they offered overnight shipping. So I bought it. Then I paid for overnight and shipping insurance.

I was emailed a tracking number. Sweet. Off to a good start.

The next day I get a tracking update. Says there’s a delay.

It was delivered three days late.

It went from Las Vegas, where I live, to Phoenix, then to San Diego, then to Memphis, then to Ft. Lauderdale, then back to Phoenix, then finally to Las Vegas.

The store I purchased it from is four miles from my house.

I’ve seen some hinky stuff out of USPS lately, and have had more than a couple pkgs (incoming and outgoing) have a stay-cation in Indianapolis, even though Indy was nowhere one would expect their routes to take them.

@Python 357-makes almost as much sense as you having a nice S&W on your banner pic with your screen name🤣

This has been happening to me nonstop lately. The package will make it all the way to DC then go to Jersey then to Baltimore to finally end up at my house. Just another reason to dislike DC.

People have been complaining about the mail since Ben Franklin’s time. I’ve had a couple of doozies in my time, like packages trapped in a loop, sent back and forth between two distant cities for weeks on end. Honestly, I think it’s a value-added entertainment service, a chance to vicariously travel the country (or the world). I once accidentally stumbled on to someone else’s tracking info that showed a package stuck in a loop between Japan and China for a year!
It may still be out there, going around and around and around.
