That looks like a place Mr. No Legs might hang out!
Yup, bunch of critters. I’ve seen fox dens and a couple other predator scats, but haven’t seen any of those that don’t wear vests.
Last year when inspected these features (mind you, this is an in-town retention basin with an Amazon distribution center about 100yds to the right of frame), I called three coyotes in, one to about 10yds😉

I remember learning this a few years ago. They have been an animal I’d like to eat ever since.
Seems to be a controversial culinary item . . . . kinda, like, I won't eat that and won't eat rattlesnake and won't eat bear. I've tried about everything but rattlesnake and actually went hunting for them around Cache Creek years ago with one of those noose-sticks. No luck. Never could find anything but canned and that's not quite fair to anything. Haven't found anything that I wouldn't eat again, except, possibly a mulie in rut. Even so, douse it with curry and habanero, and it'll be just fine.

Ya gotta be in a heightened state of awareness for this kind of thing. Just love the terrain you inhabit. A most successful call! 🤙 🤙

The BSt billiard with the last of my tin of Hu Makhuwa. A glorious blend which i recommend highly if you enjoy VaBurs.

A sincere thanks for all of those wonderful birthday wishes. I'm kinda overwhelmed. Now another year to conquer.

Got back late last night, and finished the day with an unphotographed smoke with my Missouri Meerschaum cob, and the first jar of fodder I grabbed which happened to be CAO Cherry Bomb, and had a nice, leisurely smoke that ended the day about perfectly.

Started today with a totally great smoke, Amphora Absolute in a Miniature McQueen Fable. I did photograph this because I wanted to say a bit about the "gizmo" I attach to my longstems. It's simply a 3D printout holder, tapered so it will fit any size longstem, and fitted with a removable and replaceable Colt cigarillo tip. I use it because it simply gives me better control over the smoke column than the wood stem itself, which is also then protected from being chewed on - it's much more subject to wear than a nylon or other composite stem.

I'll hold on to Skippable Drivel until tonight. My two tins of Hearth and Home Magnum Opus have arrived, and I've got a buddy picking them up for me at the post office. So you pretty much know what this evening's smoke is gonna be, eh? Also preparing a series of posts because I've got some kudos, thank you's and observations to make in light of my first year anniversary in the forum, which happens in May.

Ran a couple of errands, smoked a couple bowls of tobacco, came home to affectionate greetings from Tomato the Brave and Harry the Hairy, and then I fed them. I did a set of walking reps later than usual, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem.

Well, I'm now officially the 3rd longest living male on either side of the family, and I'll tie my cousin Wally next year on this same date as tied for 2nd. Yup, made it to 74 today. Celebrated my wakeup with my favourite small cigar, a Colt Whiskey, and after a few chores, I'll be gone most of the day - unwanted festivities and extravaganzas, as you'd expect :poop: )

Lot's to talk about in the following picture, my upcoming late morning or early evening puff, and I'll explain all of it in an upcoming late night post about my evening smoke in the eminently verbose and unnecessary "Skippable Drivel."

Happy belated Birthday man!
