One that you can still get your hands on a bit longer is Sutliff's SPS-17 Lavish English.
It's billed as an Aromatic English, but unlike their 504, it is decidedly more English than aromatic. But it's got justtt enough aromatic to give it a gentle sweetness.

As for Balkans my favorite sweet touch is Magnum opus... the added black cav gives it an awesome sweet undertone that melds with the orientals like heaven... but that one is now definitely already harder to acquire.

I don't smoke many aros but I do like The Country Squire's Northwest Trek and Hunting Creek, and you can purchase them in single ounces since they sell in bulk.
Yess. I definitely think Hunting Creek is one of their best blends. Caveat to OP's question, in that I'd personally describe it as being more aromatic than English.. but definitely a great, complex, standout blend. I believe they say it's actually the most intricate blend they sell as far as the number and types of different tobaccos that go into it.

Ah! Very true and great point to make. It is more of an aro. Thank you for the clarification! ☺️

Boswell’s Northwoods is too sweet for me and it has Latakia in it so that makes it a sweet English.

In my opinion, Wilke has some pretty great sweet English blends but I’m having difficulty recalling the names of the ones I liked because it been a long time since I smoked em as I’ve turned away from Latakia for the time being.

Hello all,

As I continue my exploration of English blends, I'm discovering that I like those blends that are a bit sweeter on the palate. So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good English or Balkan that has a nice sweet note to it. Thanks so much!
C&D cross eyed cricket is a favorite of mine I love English blends.
