The First Day of Summer..... And?

Ok, June 20th, today is the first day of Summer!

So please share what happened on your first day, not a weather forecast! This is about any event that may of occurred today in your life!

Today, my wife comes home from work, and a telephone line came down across the front of our yard, and out into the road, and I was like, what the heck is this trying to tell me for the first day of Summer.

I hope this doesn’t mean more is to come crashing down! LOL

Or is there another analogy of life at play here? LOL Hmm

We had our first rainstorm of the summer due to the tropical storm hitting Mexico from the gulf.
When that happens swamp coolers don't work so well...it was 105 degrees today, going to be a rather sultry night.

Just the usual--a bunch of annoying ranch chores, and was way too exhausted by day's end to even enjoy a pipe. That will not be the case over the weekend, although it's going to be pretty humid (we get monsoons here in SoCal too).

Can't wait for autumn!

It was very pleasant in London, 22°C and long sunny spells, with a cool air wafting in for balance.

It will remain fine for a few days, peak 28°C forecast for next Tuesday. That will probably be our entire summer.

Oh, someone turned up at 5pm for a 10am appointment, kept me waiting all day. A slightly exasperated call into their office early afternoon made little difference. I got to enjoy the weather, anyway.

Technically, Solstice was at 9.51pm yesterday. We won't quibble.

Here in my city, the month of June is very pleasant, with a cool breeze and fantastic temperatures. Today's high (19º to 26º) (64.4°F to 78.8°F). Which means that at night, I sleep like a bear in the process of being ivernation.............

Took care of the animals, mixed and sous-vided a 6oz batch of tobak to press later, jarred some tobacco, and generally putzed around this morning. Of course I waited until it was stoopid hot to work on my truck, ‘cause I’m smart like that…
Started on cleaning up an estate that came in, and am now staying up watching old westerns because I’m on call and the wind is howling-surprised PD hasn’t called yet for trees blown down-but that’ll probably happen as soon as I do decide to get some sleep.
Too windy to have a smoke.

Summer entrance, yesterday, Thursday, June 20, at 20:51 hours. So, more or less at that time, I entered the auditorium theater, since there was a delay. To attend the graduation of my nephew. It was a very special moment for me. The weather inside the auditorium, was total winter, they went too far with the air conditioning.
