I might own a hundred good pocketknives of every brand and size and quality. I’m a cheap Scottish American and like a bargain in everything.

I just got in today a $20 Rough Ryder Classic Carbon (T-10 steel) pocketknife that is the best bargain I’ve ever in my life found in a pocket knife. These are extremely righteous products. This is a hundred dollar bragging rights pocket knife if there ever was one, for only twenty bucks.

It’s heavy, perfectly made, flawless, sharp, and has good walk and talk and eye appeal.

Specify Classic Carbon. The other Rough Ryder knives are great but these are the best factory knives can get. Unbelievable quality, not just for the money, but that such goods arr still factory made in modern times at all.

That's pretty slick! Nice score!
Each blade is hand gimped so it closes right.

All three blades have match striker pulls.

Each blade has a false edge on top.

Each nickel silver bolster is sculpted and grooved.

The blades and springs are about fifty per cent heavier than modern pocket knives.

Not only do all three blades walk and talk they all three have half stops.

The polish and fit and finish is second to none.

Nice looking knives.
Surprised not to see a few stars embedded in the handles though. Or have they fallen out already?

The yellow ones are traditional yellow hard rubber, or maybe yellow micarta.

I own some extremely high dollar Solingen and old American made knives and these are as good, as any factory knife ever made at any price.

Plus they are sharp out of the box.

My Classic Carbon Folding Hunter arrived and if you like knives you need one.

These have highly polished carbon steel blades and equal or exceed Case standards for a fifth of the price.

T-10 steel is slightly harder than traditional 1095. My knives have all came ridiculously sharp, and the workmanship is second to none.

If the Chinese can ever make pipes of this quality the others are going to quit.:)

Thanks for the tip, going to have to grab one of those. Found a positive thread about them over at bladeforums. Which says a lot for a 20 dollar slippie hah. I forget about them a lot since if I'm not carrying a fixed blade I tend to have some kind of beater of a folder along with a Leatherman. Nothing beats having that slug of old school steel weighing down your jeans pocket.

Of course it's cheaper - it's made in China! I'll stick to Case.
I’ve owned so many Case knives for fifty years I can’t begin to count them.

Until this Classic Carbon series the knives Smoky Mountain Knives contracted were wonderful knives but not to Case standards.

These have yellow handles.

But they are above current Case standards.

No factory knife I’ve ever seen exceed a Classic Carbon Rough Ryder, in any way.

They can’t be made on the usual Rough Ryder line.

For example the Folding Hunter has double match striker pulls, both blades, and the scales are sculpted to have two openings on each blade. Case doesn’t do that.

The blade and spring stock is maybe fifty per cent heavier than a Case.

The polish levels and fit and finish is beyond description.

These are jewelry that cuts.

B-E-A-utiful- BEAUTIFUL!! I really like the looks of that knife. I’m partial to Buck and carry a Buck 110 daily but I really like your knife. I may have to buy one at some point.
