I have also one modelled after Indiana Jones "Elsa" lighter with a Thunderbird butane insert.
And a couple of "plain" brushed Zippos.

I have a few, but only use the flag one. The other two were gifts from my late father so i hang on to them. Not really a fan of the flag one either, but purchased it about 20 years ago when everyone was putting flag stickers on their cars during the Iraq war. Soon I'm going to pick up a polished brass armor to replace it.

my beat up chrome/brass Zippo has the normal insert. Just recently ordered the black/gold zippo and it will be my first time trying out the pipe insert.

if you have the 41 and have a standard zippo and the inserts are interchangeable I would guess that it would.

I got this for Christmas with the pipe insert. But, since I'm currently not an allday, everyday smoker I bought a Thunderbird butane insert. It works well. I just wish it had the cutout on both sides like the original zippo insert does.

This is my daily Zippo. Bought it in 2021, and it's been in my pocket ever since. Carved my initials because I'm not afraid of losing value of it. It was cheap.



Finally showing some real patina! However the hinge is getting loose, like all my zippos. May send this one in to be repaired. My brass armor Zippo had the hinge replaced twice, and it's been solid now. They change it from the pin style to a hollow tube hinge which seems to hold tighter.
