I ordered from Watch City a couple of times and luckily I've got a few ounces of that one in the cellar. I haven't tried it yet but I hear nothing but good things about their various blends.

Never ordered from there before, but their site mentions that the blend is getting a replacement in August.
Watch City Cigars has great products at a reasonable price. And when they say a blend has a touch of Latakia, the Latakia flavor is very mild in the background.
I forget if WCS had Latakia, but Persian Slipper was on point and I really enjoy Deluxe Crumb Cut.

Dammit man! I've got like 6oz left in a jar. I was waiting for them release more. This is probably my favorite of their blends, with Old Dominion being right there with it. I always assumed this would just be readily available at any given time so I never stocked up on it. That really sucks
Let this be a wake up call, blends can vanish with little to no warning. If you find one you enjoy, buy as much as you can when you can.

Right. My intent was that there’s a little more to the story and “quality” is an odd term to be using even though they also used it. There was a change to the sourced burley, so instead of ending up like what’s currently going on with all of the K&K blends with changes, it’s being discontinued with a planned replacement blend with the differently sourced burley.
That's sad. I recognize that Ernie is a great blender, but Slices were one of his few blends that were a 'great' match with my smoking palate. I'm surprised that he can't come up with a substitute burley that would do the job, as I didn't consider the burley to be the primary ingredient.
I bet the replacement is equally great, and just a tad different.

Today is a sad day for burley smokers. However, come august with the release of the new/replacement blend, chances are it will be one of the best on the market.
