Never ordered from there before, but their site mentions that the blend is getting a replacement in August.
But not WCS.

We are working on a "replacement" which will be on the menu in a month and a half or so. It will most likely come in "broken cake" form and it promises to be a richer, darker and deeper blend than WCS.

Dammit man! I've got like 6oz left in a jar. I was waiting for them release more. This is probably my favorite of their blends, with Old Dominion being right there with it. I always assumed this would just be readily available at any given time so I never stocked up on it. That really sucks

Let this be a wake up call, blends can vanish with little to no warning. If you find one you enjoy, buy as much as you can when you can.

Again, it's not WCS, it'll be a different blend.
Right. My intent was that there’s a little more to the story and “quality” is an odd term to be using even though they also used it. There was a change to the sourced burley, so instead of ending up like what’s currently going on with all of the K&K blends with changes, it’s being discontinued with a planned replacement blend with the differently sourced burley.

Due to failed lack of quality of the desired burley used in the blend, Watch City Slices are no more.

That's sad. I recognize that Ernie is a great blender, but Slices were one of his few blends that were a 'great' match with my smoking palate. I'm surprised that he can't come up with a substitute burley that would do the job, as I didn't consider the burley to be the primary ingredient.

I bet the replacement is equally great, and just a tad different.
