Coloured Finish Appreciation Thread

I prefer my pipes with what I would call 'traditional staining', anything from the honey gold light stain, to a richer brown. But I do appreciate coloured stains or finishes from time to time if done well. I don't have any *yet* but I'd like to add some colour to the roation.

Anyone have some colourful pipes?

Thanks. My grandson when he was 5 picked it out. I received as a birthday present. I will never get rid of it along with the $5 watch from WM he gave me for my birthday.

Gifts from grandchildren are the best.

I have a green churchwarden. It's great for hunting leprechauns. It's a darker green stain and it is still classy in my opinion.

In general, I'm not a fan of colored briar. I must say though, I do like the volcano owned by @chasingembers Were I as fortunate as @scloyd and received any pipe from my grandchildren, even if it were pink, I'd cherish it forever.

How about natural coloured bowls and crazy coloured stem/mouth piece see a lot of the pipe makers, Savanelli, Chacom, Peterson have lots like that?

I love a deep maroon finish on a pipe. Something about it is just satisfying to me.

I have a green stain Chacom straight tapered billiard made specifically for Iwan Ries though not a house pipe, and a Group 2 EWA churchwarden stained green. All the rest are wood tones, ebony, cobs, or clay, and one Meerschaum.

Don’t own any colored pipes, but I can appreciate them. I do love a good psychedelic acrylic stem like Neerup sometimes uses. I think think it adds a modern ironic counterpoint to some classic old school wood grain.

I've seen some tasteful St. Patrick's Day pipes that showcase a dark green very well.

As some of you know, I'm always drawn to these:

I personally like a colorful stem as a accent on pipes. Black just gets boring in my opinion. I prefer the Briar stained in more traditional colors.
