Or even more accurately, I have been looking, and none of those catch my attention.Or more accurately, you haven't been looking very hard

When I buy a pipe I am never sure I like it until I smoke it. Even then I can only be sure after trying it for an extended time. Amazingly I have never even noticed the sex of maker.I think we are all able to determine our own taste in pipes
Person A: "I don't like pipes from those carvers"
Person B: "Yes you would, but you just haven't looked enough"
Ummm, kind of an odd take. I think we are all able to determine our own taste in pipes.
When one takes an entire gender of artists and discredits 100% of their work, I think it's fair to say they may be mistaken.
But sure, only you know what you truly like :pats small child on head:
I see what you're saying, Johnny- but there are scarcely more than a dozen well-known female pipe makers. I'm sure you can think of more than a dozen male pipe makers who's works don't appeal to you aesthetically... I sure can.
Not sure if we're reading the same thread ?but I haven't seen anybody discredit the work of these female pipe makers. Nobody here has disparaged the craftsmanship and quality produced by the artisans in question- only stated that they don't find the pipes particularly attractive.

You're good! ? Social cues and context are often lost in text and it becomes very hard to determine the tone of the discussion. So based on what you've seen- are there any female artisans you're looking to buy from?Fair enough. I apologize for getting bent out of shape, but I found the remark very dismissive. Perhaps I misinterpreted what was written.

I'm not discrediting anyone. I'm just saying that I've yet to see a pipe made by the more popular female artisans that I would wish to add to my collection. When one takes an entire gender of artists and discredits 100% of their work, I think it's fair to say they may be mistaken.

I agree. I think so far what I've seen are great examples of the style, sadly styles I just do not feel drawn too.Or even more accurately, I have been looking, and none of those catch my attention.
it blows my mind how much one little factor can make or break how appealing a pipe looks. I've looked at two nearly identical pipes and one wowed me the other perturbedI've had my eye on Asami Kikuchi but her designs are just slightly off of what I would want.
