Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Thursday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Quinton Wells. Quinton is a pipe maker, an executive in The Greater Kansas City Pipe Club, and is in charge of the pipe carving contest at the club’s pipe show in June. Our opening segment will feature Paul Creasy talking about the new proposed FDA deeming regulations, and how they may affect pipe tobacco production and marketing. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, CupOJoes.com, SmokingPipes.com, Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, MeerschaumStore.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.
Quinton Wells
HI Brian,
I am glad that Paul Creasy is representing the Pipe Tobacco Trade Association. Let your representatives know how you feel.
Quinton Wells is a gentleman and a fine pipe carver. The KC Club is to be commended for their American Pipe Carvers Carving Contest. One of these days I will have one of his pipes! The KC Club’s newsletter is fantastic.
Baroque Hoedown – Ok Brian, I understand – Disneyland!
Rant – The old days we remember were not as great as we remember.
I’m back from Chicago, and the VA Wedding, Hopefully I will be back to listening to you on Thursday nights on schedule.
Keep up the good work!
Brian,
As stated we forget that we are in the minority. Even among pipe smokers the people at the shows and on the discussion groups are just a drop in the sea of tobacco users. We need to make sure we remember that next time we are bashing outer groups. We need one another to be able to enjoy our hobby.
Great show.
Brian
