The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 335

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! In our opening segment, Brian will answer a question from a listener regarding the use of bamboo on pipe shanks. Hint: It started out as more than an embellishment. Our featured interview is with Greek Pipe Maker Michail Kyriazanos. He was raised in the Aegean island of Paros and studied electrical engineering in Athens. Then he started to smoke pipes, and fell in love with them. He moved back to Paros years ago and is making excellent Danish-style shapes and perfect classic shapes as well.  Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, Missouri Meerschaum, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up
player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Yiassou Michali! Quite an enjoyable conversation with my patrioti. And, some very interesting insights regarding pipe making and pipe smoking in Greece.
I’ve met and talked with him each time he has come to our Chicago Show, and admired his beautifully grained and designed pipes.
I really enjoyed the Gate tune. Thanks.
    Bon voyage!
