Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Tonight’s feature is the kick-off of Storytime with Sykes. Sykes Wilford is the Founder & C.E.O. of SmokingPipes.com. He has been all over the world and has probably met with more pipe makers at their homes & workshops then anyone. It is likely that he has also been to more pipe and tobacco factories as well. He is a titan in the industry, and he has lots of really cool stories. In Pipe Parts, Brian will tell us how he rigged his smoking room for ventilation. (He’s kinda crafty, that guy.) Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, Missouri Meerschaum, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

Very nice show. I look forward to hearing a little more about the history and growth of Smokingpipes and Laudisi. As I sat down to listen to the show this morning I happened to be smoking my Peter Heeshen blowfish and was pleased that the first story was about Peter. The music was beautiful. Thanks for addressing my water cleaning question. I think I’ll go back to alcohol just in case. I’m almost caught up on all the shows. Couldn’t you go to twice a week? Just kidding.
Best,
Ira
Great idea on your ventilation issues and solution. I enjoyed the interview with Sykes and the music choice was very nice. Cheers Brian. Best Regards, -Jason
Fantastic show. I really enjoyed the beginning of the new story time. It has been fun following your ventilation adventure, it seems you are always adding something. I have to ask a random question, are you ever going to update the commercials? I know, they aren’t the main part of the show, but we are still hearing about a line of pipes released in 2015 and it amuses me every time. I still don’t want to do that water cleaning, although it seems to be a staple conversation every day on the forum now.
My anticipation for this episode was not a disappointment! Loved the content, what can I say, I’m a sucker for a good story! I truly enjoyed the music on this episode. I can’t wait for the next segment! Pleasant smokes
