  • Brad just had a real down to earth personality on the show that made him inviting. I will be looking in to his pipes to see what he has out there. Brian, I liked when you asked for the perceived difference between smoking cigarettes and pipes. As a former cigarette smoker, cigarettes for me were purely an addiction. I didn’t like the way they tasted but I liked the smoke in my lungs as sick as that sounds. With pipes it all comes down to enjoying the flavor and relaxation, and I don’t inhale. I’m not addicted to pipes, unlike cigarettes. Congratulations on 6 years, I’m so glad you’re going strong. Just like the Orleans song Still The One, this podcast is still the one for me. Enough blathering, pleasant smokes!

  • Congratulations on closing out 6 years of the show. I can’t imagine where I would be in my pipe journey had you only done that first year. I hope this show stays strong and you keep coming up with more to say. I know it can’t be easy sometimes.

  • Haddo’s Delight is special but it does have a kick to it due to the nicotine. I enjoy it and fortunately started with a large pipe due to the cut of the tobacco.
Brad was a nice interview. It is pretty clear that he is making fairly functional pipes that lack a little something in styling. He’s probably selling them for what they are worth. And as you might expect I absolutely loathe metal as a form of music. To me it is guys plugged into a wall socket making as much racket as possible.
The first show was on 9/20/2012 so it was at a least week premature to say this episode was the completion of six years. The 09/17/2012 show was just a radio test that only lasted a few minutes. You either forget that the first year has 53 shows since the first episode starts the counter or you missed the fact that every year is actually 52 weeks and a day. And leap year adds another day to it. Nonetheless what you have done is quite an achievement.
