Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Kadesh Swanson. Kadesh is an artisan pipe maker that crafts the KJ Pipes line. His fascination with art started as a child, watching cartoons and trying to draw them. He moved on to origami, and then five years ago, he smoked his first pipe, and the rest is history. In Pipe Parts, Brian will give a trip report from last weekend’s Columbus Pipe Show. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

The trip report was interesting. Would like to hear the names of people more when you do them.
Interview with another carver I’ve never heard of. I’ve got to get out of the house more. I was glad to see on his blog the good advice on becoming a good pipe maker. Not selling your first 100 pipes was quite refreshing. Of course, he didn’t do that and thus the advice.
If the Fellowship of the Ring had heard Leonard Nimoy doing that Bilbo Baggins song they would have let Sauron win. That was truly awful. Nimoy was a great actor but as a singer he was a great actor.
I enjoyed the song!

Kadesh is a terrific young pipe carver who is getting so talented so fast. We’re proud of him at the Seattle Pipe Club. He’s also a very cool guy – but don’t tell him I said that so he doesn’t get a swelled head 😉
