The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 215

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with artist and new pipe smoker Tony Karnes. Tony hails from Knoxville TN and is the perfect guest for Halloween week as he is a "horror artist" with his art being scary things like monsters and demons. In "Pipe Parts", we will discuss tobacco from different parts of Africa. Brian will give a little history on how tobacco started on the African continent, and then bring you up to the present with some surprising facts. In place of the music segment, we have a story read by Vincent Price, along with other fun scary Halloween stuff. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, SmokingPipes.com, Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Hi Brian!
Great show. Was good to hear from another beginner smoker. Reminds me when I first started, what an experience it was and a bit of an adventure too (trying out the new blends and finding my footing).
Loved the Halloween themed show- as I really like this time of year, unfortunately we don’t celebrate Halloween here in the UK like you do in the States. Shame.
    All the best.
