Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Canadian Pipe Maker Cody Perkins. Cody started out making knives in his father’s knife shop as a teenager. Then he earned his Journeyman certificate as a Machinist, and later started making pipes as an individual pipe maker. Now he has a business with a trio of pipe makers and other staff and a fully stocked online store; True North Briar. In the "Pipe Parts" segment, Brian will talk about Parker Pipes. Many consider Parker Pipes to be a much more affordable Dunhill "second". There is definitely a Dunhill connection, but they are not really "seconds". Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, SmokingPipes.com, CupOJoes.com Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

Sadly, Mike Reschke passed today. He was a friend and fellow Chicago Pipe Collectors Club member, a Doctor of Pipes, and the club’s long term President.
May his memory be eternal.
The conversation with Cody Perkins was both informing and entertaining.
I loved the Bertrand Russell clip.
As always, a fine show. Thanks.
