Welcome to The Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 690. Our featured guest on tonight’s show is artisan pipe maker JD Wolf. JD just started smoking pipes a little over a year ago, and he started making them at about the same time. His impetus for becoming a pipe maker came from the problem that his preferences in artistic handmade pipes were out the reach of his budget. He strives to make precise smoking instruments that are also a handcrafted piece of art that the “average workingman” can afford. At the top of the show in Pipe Parts, Brian will have a holiday gift giving guide for pipe smokers.

Great Christmas gift ideas. Thanks!
JD was a refreshing guest with a grounded view of his mission in life and his commitment to his craft and to the pipe smoker.
The shout-outs to some of his mentors and those who have helped him get started were a heartwarming reminder that we are indeed a community linked to the past as we look to the future.
Stryper’s cover of “Winter Wonderland” was totally fun. Though a long way from Johnny Mathis or Perry Como, it rocks like a “mutha”.
We are all quite aware that this community wouldn’t exist as it does without the sponsors and advertisers. It is incumbent upon us to support them, their businesses and organizations, if we wish to continue and to build our communal and fraternal kinship.
Thanks for an entertaining and edifying show.

Brian,
Another great episode and learning about JD Wolf, who seems really nice and sincere (I’ve starting following him on Insta).
Your comment on him being one of the “good people” reminded me of someone else too… YOU! Thanks again for the excellent work in this podcast… my mainstay pipe podcast that I listen to week in, week out!
God bless you and your fam!
