Welcome to The Pipes Magazine Radio Show Episode 590. Our featured interview tonight is with Tim Garrity. Tim is the President of the Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club and is one of a few show directors for the Chicago International Pipe & Tobacciana Show. The show is April 11-14 this year. He is talking to us on site from Arlington Pipe and Cigar’s smoking lounge, which is a perfect setting for smoking a pipe while talking about pipes and tobacco. Tim will talk about his pipe journey, and provide the latest details on the Chicago pipe show. At the top of the show, Brian will give us a sum up of his own pipe journey, which coincides with his history of working in the business for nearly three decades. It’s quite an interesting tale.

Nicely done mini bio, that shows how you have serious pipe “cred.”
I enjoyed your conversation with my friend Mike. He gave an exciting and tantalizing preview of our up- coming Chicago Show. I know I’m pumped for it.
Kevin’s pick of Orleans’ “Still The One” was a fun choice for music.
How philosophical! “Every day is a new beginning.” Great advice in your “rant/rave.”
Thanks for a great start to 2024.
Merry New Year!

Really enjoyable listening to your journey in pipes. It adds touch of believability to your story. I heard you tell it before but damned if I remember where. It goes to show you are not another pretty voice on the internet.
Mike gave a nice review of the Chicago pipe show. It is amazing all the things done at the show. It totally dwarfs all the others in terms of all the events planned and held at one show. My congratulations to the Pipe Show Committee who makes it all possible. I really enjoyed Mike’s remarks about smoking cigars. As a person who smokes one a day I can relate.
I remember the Orients release of “Still the One” but thought it was out in the late 50’s or 60’s. Anyway, kudos to Kevin for suggesting it.
