  • Very good analysis in “Pipe Smoking 101.”
Prof. Kyle was a delight! Well spoken, humorous and thoughtful.
I liked his explanation of how his musical timing helped in smoking cadence, and his distinction between cigar and pipe smoking.
Quite an interesting cover of “Smoke on the Water.” If you liked this, you’re gonna love Luna Lee’s cover on the Korean Gayageum. (Also on YouTube.)
Thanks for another always entertaining show.

  • On your comments regarding a tapered bowl, I must confess that I loathe a tapered (Dublin style) bowl. I would have that sucker on fire in no time with my usual method of pipe smoking. I have great difficulty in slowing down my cadence and in a Dublin it would impossible. So, it is “U shaped for me.
Kyle is very educated gentlemen who speaks well of the piping hobby. I’ve been listening to Kyle for quite a white and generally find his show most pleasant. I did get “irate” with him for describing one of my most favorite tobaccos as being totally unworthy of smoking. I mean I smoke the tobacco every day and he totally bad mouthed it. For some reason I have elected to forgive him because he is generally a nice person but I have my eye on him. LOL!!
The music was a little strange but at it was tolerable.
