The Pipes Magazine Radio Show – Episode 137

Kevin Godbee
Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Andrew Petersen of A. Petersen Pipes, formerly Quad City Pipes. He is also a sanitation worker and a sax player. In lieu of the the “Pipe Parts” segment, Brian will talk to Lori Brown, who happens to my (Kevin Godbee’s) girlfriend. She recently returned from her first pipe show, and she is off to the Chicago show next. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, CupOJoes.com, SmokingPipes.com, Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Hi Brian,
Glad you had a good time at Disney.
I hope to meet Lori at Chicago. You need to introduce to Louise.
I believe I met Andy at the NASPC show last year. He makes some nice pipes. I will have to check him out at Chicago.
Rant – People don’t always read the entire post, then again, some people are just lazy.
    See you Friday.

  • Andy Petersen makes a wonderful pipe. I believe I have four or five of them. And he is just a wonderful guy. The only thing that he needs to do is to find the right star to hook his wagon to.
Some of the goobers who use eBay are just an embarrassment to the human race. The people you and Steve ran into should be culled from the gene pool. Their narrow beam focus on their own importance is unbelievable. This is why when I check a seller feedback and see a negative or neutral rating I go and read it. If the seller offers a reasonable and courteous explanation of the problem with a fair offer to solve the problem I just ignore the rating. If the seller gives a scorched earth reply he is damned to the lowest circle of eBay hell.

  • I had already read the piece Lori wrote and produced on this year’s Chicago Pipe Show and tuned in specifically to listen to the voice of the woman who wrote with such efficiency.
Ms. Brown is a wonderful asset to the pipe community.
