Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Thursday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our Featured Interview tonight is with Brad Weinfeld. Brad is Brian’s former boss from many years ago at Holco Rohr. There is quite a rich history that includes Wally Frank, Comoy, Castellos, and several other brands. Brad and Brian should have some great stories. Brian will report back on his west coast trip, including the NATO show, a new retail tobacconist he visited, and the Raleigh pipe show as well. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!
Tonight’s show is sponsored by Sutliff-Tobacco.com, CupOJoes.com, SmokingPipes.com, Missouri Meerschaum, 4noggins.com, MeerschaumStore.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.
We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.
Brad Weinfeld with Octokberfest Girls
HI Brian,
Guess it is Memorex again….and his nickname would then be “Jumbo” as in full of baloney.
Glad to see you are working hard but still feeding yourself well. Sounds like fun in Raleigh.
Brad Weinfeld – Very interesting history in the pipe field. Very interesting was the figures on Bulk tobacco. I will have to look for a Roller’s Choice next week at the local B&M.
Archie Bunker – It’s been a long time since I heard from that sphere. Of course Meathead was one of the biggest anti-smoker proponents and had an impact on the laws in existence today.
Congrats on the JDRF auction results.
Rant – I agree. If they tell you they have smoking rooms, you should get one.
Good show – waiting for Chicago!
Another fine show. The Brad Weinfield interview was quite good. His reflections on the history of Holco Rohr was quite interesting.
The Archie Bunker skit was classic stuff. The Lefties use that skit as proof of their intellectual superiority over the masses.
I suspect the reason behind not giving you a smoking room is not that the Corporations are “dumb”. You don’t have as much success as they do in separating us from our money and be dumb. The most likely reason they do it is to preserve those rooms for “high rollers”. They are much more interested in serving that guy than an ordinary stiff from North Carolina.
Looking forward to seeing you and Kevin in Chicago. Is Bill Roberts coming this year??
Oh, I forgot. I’ll take the Blond!
